“Great Minnesota Get-Together”, the annual Minnesota State Fair is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. The fair attracts nearly 1.8 million guests annually.
The MN State Fair is always held the 12 days leading up to and through Labor Day. The 2012 Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 23 – Sept. 3.
The fair employs 70 people full time, all year around. That number increases to 150 for summer seasonal. And, then, a whopping 2,700 people are hired as the MN State Fair is underway!
The Fair Grounds are situated midway between St. Paul and Minneapolis. The Minnesota State Fairgrounds resides on the 320-acre and has beautiful gardens and established architecture which reflects the art deco and Works Progress Administration eras.
The concessions and exhibits department is selects concessionaires and exhibitors for the annual twelve day exposition. At the Minnesota State Fair, signs are ubiquitous.
